FROM BHUTAN TO PHUKET: A Travelogue of My Collection Inspiring Trip to Asia
There is a co-op in Thimphui, the capitol, where 20 women were weaving cloth by hand with ancient looms. Each woman chooses the palette and pattern of the cloth they create. So each is an individual and special item. The combinations are incredible, and inspired me to include more color in my collection. I collect textiles whenever I travel as souvenirs. In Bhutan, I brought home a very old and beautiful embroidered cloth which in turn inspired the embroideries I created
for the collection.
